Hang Your Hat Foundation is dedicated to helping people who are homeless achieve their dreams.

All families want to live where they can be sure their children will thrive.  Yet high housing costs in the Fairfield County area cause many families to make very difficult decisions between housing and other basic necessities.  Many become homeless.

There is a solution.  We know that the first step for every family is having a safe, warm and hopeful place to “Hang Your Hat”.  For families who have been homeless, a new start in an affordable home is a critical part of their efforts to gain stability.    Thus, our work is about expanding the availability of affordable supportive housing options for our lower-income neighbors in Greater Bridgeport.  We want to ensure that families have the opportunity they need to leave homelessness behind forever.
